Annual Meeting Scholarships

Each year, the American Foundation for Surgery of the Hand (AFSH) is proud to offer Annual Meeting Scholarships to Residents, Fellows and active duty military surgeons. These $1,200 scholarships are intended to support travel and registration expenses to attend the Adrian E. Flatt Residents and Fellows Conference in Hand Surgery as well as the Annual Meeting of the ASSH.

New! In 2018, the top scored pediatric/congenital abstract submission accepted for podium presentation will receive the Adrian E. Flatt Award, a special $1,200 scholarship in honor of Dr. Flatt.  Dr. Flatt passed away in 2017 and will long be remembered for his many contributions to the Hand Society.  The AFSH thanks William H. Seitz, Jr., MD for his gift in honor of Dr. Flatt and in support of this new Flatt Scholarship.

Information about other special scholarships, including the Daniel C. Riordan Award and the Vincent R. Hentz Scholarship, can be found below.
