Fund Your Mission

The Touching Hands Project, along with the American Foundation for Surgery of the Hand (AFSH), is a strong supporter of independent mission work. If you are a hand surgeon who is completing your own medical missions, AFSH can offer funding to alleviate your costs. This opportunity is open to both groups and individuals.

This was a transformative experience for each of us. As a brand new program, we have minimal funding available to us. The funds presented by the American Foundation for Surgery of the Hand offer a substantial contribution to assist in developing this program. We hope that our program may serve as a model to other residency and fellowship programs interested in developing an international elective.
