The Complete Hand Surgeon: Flaps You Should Know After Fellowship

A course for current and upcoming hand fellows. 

This course targets current and upcoming hand fellows to provide them with the skills and knowledge of common upper extremity flaps, skin coverage and vascular bone transfer. The course will feature hands-on cadaveric dissection guided by a talented faculty. The course will include prosections, didactic lectures, educational materials and case presentations. Registrants should bring their own scrubs and loupes.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this program, the attendee will:
  • Become familiar with the full spectrum of workhorse flaps and soft tissue coverage, as well as microvascular bone transfers for the upper extremity.
  • Develop the hands-on competence of how and when to apply such reconstructive techniques.
  • Discuss the indications and complications of such techniques as seen through case examples.
  • Understand dissection techniques for pedicle and perforator identification.


There is no CME offered for this program.

This course is limited to 50 participants, and only current and upcoming hand fellows will be accepted.

Note: Registration for this course is separate from the Annual Meeting registration. Please do not make travel arrangements until your participation in the course is confirmed.

Cancellation/Refund Policy: Attendees may cancel their registration for this course and receive a full refund of all fees already paid providing that written notification of such cancellation is received by the Society on or before July 30, 2018. In the event written notification of cancellation is received between July 31 and August 13, attendee shall be entitled to a refund of 50% of fees already paid. THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS OR CREDITS OF COURSE REGISTRATION FEES FOR CANCELLATIONS THAT OCCUR AFTER AUGUST 13, 2018. No exceptions.
