American Hand Therapy Foundation

Mission: The mission of the American Hand Therapy Foundation (AHTF) is to fund clinical and scientific research and education in order to advance the practice of hand therapy and quality of patient care throughout the world. Some of the grant opportunities available to occupational, physical or hand therapists include:

  • Evelyn Mackin Traveling Hand Therapist Award - share your hand rehabilitation pearls, tips and tricks while visiting various hand therapy facilities
  • Burkhalter New Investigators Grant - supports clinical research in hand and upper limb rehabilitation
  • ASHT Founders Grant - supports meaningful research in hand therapy

Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation

The OREF accepts applications for individual research grants addressing issues in the field of orthopaedics. Various funding opportunities from $5000 up to $225000 are available including opportunities for fellows residents and post-doctoral candidates.
