Vincent R. Hentz Scholarship

Dr. Hentz served in many capacities with the ASSH, including as President of the ASSH and Deputy Editor of the Journal of Hand Surgery.  As Chief of Hand Surgery and Chief of Plastic Surgery at Stanford University he established an impeccable reputation for excellence, and his passion for hand surgery is unparalleled.  He is a master technician, a respected researcher, and a superior teacher and mentor.  Dr. Hentz dedicated his career to ensure the next generation is prepared and we are happy to extend this legacy through the Hentz Scholarship.

One lucky plastic surgery resident or plastic hand fellow will be selected annually to receive the Hentz Scholarship of $1,500 to attend the Adrian E. Flatt Residents and Fellows Conference and the ASSH Annual Meeting.  The winner is selected by the Residents and Fellows Conference Committee based on applicant need and response to survey questions included in the Annual Meeting Travel Scholarship application.

The Vincent R. Hentz Education Fund was established by Stanford plastic surgery alumni and is administered by the American Foundation for Surgery of the Hand.
