Subscribers will now find articles designed for CME within the the Review Section of the Journal of Hand Surgery.
Effective January 2010, to take the test for CME, individuals will need to login directly to the Elsevier website. As this online system replaces the previous CME system, users may need to create an account if they do not already have one on the JHS website. Questions about how to access the CME functionality should be directed to Elsevier:

The American Society for Surgery of the Hand designates the JHS Educational Activity for a maximum of 2.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits (TM). Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
The ASSH is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
To claim CME credits, subscribers must read all the CME-eligible articles and take an online test. The questions on the test are designed to make the reader think and will occasionally require the reader to go back scrutinize the article for details. The Journal article is not included in the purchase of the test.
We encourage readers to contact us with questions and feedback on the content of the CME articles and the online quiz so we can continue to improve our Review Section. If you have questions on the accuracy or clarity of something in the CME articles, please do not hesitate to contact us at journalcme@assh.org. Questions about functionality of the exam should be directed to Elsevier as indicated above.
Journal of Hand Surgery CME tests for 2009 are no longer available.
