Through the generosity of our industry partners the AFSH is providing support for original research on topics related to:
- Arthritis
- Nerve and soft tissue function, injuries and diseases.
Grants for either clinical research or basic science projects will be considered. Awards are up to a maximum of $20,000 for one year for basic science submissions and $20,000 over two years for clinical submissions. Proposals should follow the format for the
clinical research and
basic science research programs supported by AFSH presently and be identified as intended for consideration under this Special Emphasis Note. Submissions will be reviewed by the Research Management Committee in June 2012.
Submission Guidelines
Applications are due to the ASSH Central Office by the close of business on April 2, 2012. You must email the following:
- Your completed grant application form in Microsoft Word format
- IRB or IACUC documentation (if applicable)
- Letter of support from your department chair or division head. The purpose of this letter is to verify that the researcher will have time (as in time away from clinical practice) and enough resources in addition to the grant to complete the project in a timely fashion.
Email all documentation to: smeyerhughes@assh.org
Note: While the grant application must be in Word format, all supporting documents may be in PDF format.
