The American Foundation for Surgery of the Hand is excited to announce a new grant opportunity for clinical researchers.
This competition is open to submissions on clinical topics, including trials of treatment or rehabilitation, diagnosis, outcomes research and health services research. The main requirement is that the focus be a clinical question relating to arthritis in the hand or wrist. Preference will be given to clinical trials that are multicenter in nature. For this competition a multicenter study must involve collaborating centers from different institutions. The inclusion of multiple teaching centers from one university will not be considered a multicenter design.
Award: The award is for $100,000 over two years.
Applicants should use the standard AFSH submission guidelines
for clinical research applications, which include having an ASSH member on the investigative team. The study proposal section of the application may only be a maximum of ten pages in length.
The deadline for submissions is March 15, 2013.
