The ASSH Textbook is available both as a two volume print publication and an eBook
. When you purchase either the print publication or the eBook
, you are given complete access to our custom ASSH Textbook platform at textbook.assh.org
About the content
The textbook is comprised of 79 chapters that comprehensively cover the full curriculum of hand and upper extremity surgery, featuring over 2000 images and nearly 140 technique videos (and counting). Visit textbook.assh.org
for more information.
About the technology
ASSH developed a brand new user-oriented platform for the textbook. Users can easily navigate to any of the chapters, and once you are within a chapter, tracking navigation follows you through the text so that you don’t lose your place and can quickly jump to points of interest. You can also highlight and take notes, learn more information about the authors, save images and videos to your own library (which will eventually sync with the materials on ASSH’s Hand-e portal), and of course, search the text. Visit textbook.assh.org
for a demo chapter to try it for yourself.
The technology was built to grow, so we encourage our users to make suggestions about how to improve the platform for a better experience.
Once you purchase either the print book or the eBook
, you can login to textbook.assh.org
using your ASSH username and password. If you’d like to purchase the textbook as a gift, please call the office (312.880.1900) and have information ready for us to either add platform access to an existing account or have the recipient’s name and email address ready so that we can establish an account for him or her.
What’s that you say? You’d like the print book AND the eBook
AND access to the platform? No problem; in fact, buy one, get the second one half off.
- Your online access will not expire, but if we print a 2nd edition, we will stop updating the 1st edition.
- We cannot refund eBooks because there is no way to “return” the product. We can refund print books.
- Contact ASSH if you are interested in an institution subscription.
