Course Overview:

​AUDIENCE LEVEL: Advanced

This course will provide a state of the art update on open and arthroscopic techniques of elbow surgery.  The program will include lectures, panel discussions and hands-on training in the cadaver laboratory.  Specific techniques covered in detail will be elbow arthroscopy, elbow instability, elbow fractures, and arthroplasty.  Course attendees will have the opportunity to perform all surgical procedures in the laboratory and are encouraged to bring problem cases for discussion with the faculty.

Objectives:
  • ​Describe arthroscopic techniques for the elbow.
  • Demonstrate surgical approaches to the elbow.
  • Recognize pitfalls of elbow surgical techniques and how to avoid complications.
  • Contrast state of the art techniques for treatment of fractures of the distal humerus, radial head, coronoid, and olecranon.
  • Summarize new elbow arthroplasty techniques.

Participation Requirement:
Participants in ASSH surgical skills programs must have completed or be currently enrolled in a residency program accredited by either the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).  Surgeons from outside of the United States are required to have similar residency program credentials.
 
All registration fees include breakfasts, refreshments breaks, luncheons each day and an evening reception in addition to the Advanced Techniques in Reconstructive Elbow Surgery course syllabus.  Course sessions and food functions are for the course registrants only—spouses and families are not permitted in these areas.
 
Registration is limited and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. To ensure your enrollment, please e-mail, phone, fax or mail your registration information (check made payable in U.S. funds to ASSH, VISA, MasterCard, American Express or Discover) before Friday, July 12, 2013.  Photocopies are acceptable.  If you fax your registration form, it is not necessary to mail the original.
 
NOTE: Mailed registrations are first sent to the ASSH bank for clearance.  After being held for 5-7 days, mailed registrations are then forwarded to the ASSH central office.  Please allow additional time for receipt and confirmation if mailing in your registration.

Refund Policy/Cancellation Fee
All refunds must be requested in writing to the ASSH Central Office and faxed to (847)384-1435.
 
If written notification is received on or before Friday, June 28, 2013, a full refund, less a $150 processing fee, will be given.  If written notification is received between Saturday, June 29, 2013 and Friday, July 12, 2013, a refund of 50% of the registration fee will be given.  After Friday, July 12, 2013 there will be no refunds.
