 Course Endorsement Policy 

What it means to receive ASSH endorsement:

  • ASSH endorsement will allow a course organizer to list ASSH as having endorsed their program in promotional material (print and electronic).
  • ASSH will list the program in the Non-ASSH Events section of the ASSH website and create a hyperlink to the course organizer's website.
  • Course organizers will receive complimentary membership labels.

Criteria for endorsement:

  1. Request must come from an ASSH member who is directly involved in the CME activity
  2. Primary sponsor must be accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education and must offer AMA PRA Category 1 credits.  (Exceptions will be made to this policy for international meetings sponsored by an international hand society, such as IFSSH or FESSH).
  3. Request must be received at least 6 months prior to date of CME activity.
  4. Request must be accompanied by a program agenda and proposed faculty.
  5. CME activity must not be in direct competition with ASSH sponsored CME activities (course date must be at least 3 weeks before or after an ASSH course).
  6. Endorsement request must be accompanied by a processing fee of $250.

How to apply for endorsement:

  1. Download, complete and return the Endorsement Request Form.
  2. Send in $250 processing fee, program agenda and proposed faculty list. (see contact on form)
  3. The Courses and Meetings Advisory Committee will review and vote on your request.
  4. You can expect a response within 10 business days.
