La Federacion de Mano Precourse
12:30 - 4:30 PM

This precourse is a comprehensive review of the history of flexor tendon surgery, physiology and surgical techniques. Special emphasis is given to detailed anatomy and mechanics of the flexor tendon mechanism. This precourse also serves as a forum for new horizons, techniques and concepts in rehabilitation, surgery and research into the vexing problem of flexor tendon repair.  Learn more. 

Resident Educators Workshop
12:30 - 4:30 PM

Resident education is an evolving process.  This program will focus on educating residents in upper extremity surgery. The workshop will review the current principles critical to effective teaching and learning. We will be evaluating different teaching methods, curriculum development, and evaluation of residents’ skills and knowledge as well as the teaching program and methods. These techniques and strategies will be examined with participant interaction.  Learn more. 

Basic Science Research Workshop
4:30 - 6:00 PM

The goal of this workshop is to bring together clinicians and scientists actively involved in basic or translational research relevant to surgery of the hand, for the purpose of exchanging ideas and addressing challenges, including (but not limited to): grant writing, funding, resources, finding time for research, engaging clinician-scientist collaborations, mentorship, and development of clinician scientists. Clinical Investigators Workshop
4:30 - 6:00 PM

The goal of this workshop is to bring together clinicians actively involved in clinical research for the purpose of discussing methodological issues relating to their work.  The input of experienced investigators is intended to help solve problems of work in progress, lead to the development of new and interesting research questions and foster collaboration among the attendees for future clinical research endeavors.  Learn more.
