This is the Society's main membership category. The ASSH welcomes orthopaedic, plastic, and general surgeons into its distinguished membership.
Active Membership in the American Society for Surgery of the Hand may be granted to any individual who meets the criteria set forth in Active Membership Qualifications and who shares interest in and supports the purposes of the Society; abides by the ASSH Bylaws, the principles and ethics of the Society and other rules and regulations as the Society may adopt; and meets such additional criteria for each category of membership in the Society as the Council may from time to time establish.
