**The 2013 application period for this program is now closed.
In its pilot stage, the Mid-Career Leadership Program was approved by Council in December 2012 as a way for seasoned ASSH members to become more involved in the Hand Society. It will replace the 2013 Young Leaders Program, which will resume in 2014. Any ASSH Active member with more than eight years of membership can apply for this program, with the chance to gain insight into the leadership process. Those chosen will work with ASSH Council to address important issues and shape the Hand Society’s future.
Participants of the Mid-Career Leadership Program will begin by identifying and researching key issues in the profession, which they will present to Council in December.
Those selected for this program are required to:
- Be an ASSH Active member with eight or more years of membership.
- Attend the Leadership Program December 18-20 in Miami, FL.
- Pay for their own travel to and from the December meeting (ASSH will reimburse for hotel, meals and program tuition).
- Provide ongoing assistance to ASSH committees and/or task forces.
