ASSH Senior/Retired Membership Category
ASSH Active Members automatically move to the Senior/Retired Member category, and pay reduced annual dues of $300 (regular Active Members pay $530) the year after they turn 65. At this time ASSH Senior/Retired Members may also request a move to the Senior/Retired non-dues paying category as described below. Requests should be sent to Jeanne Bloesch - Senior Membership Coordinator at:

If you have retired from practice prior to this time (year after you turn 65) you can request a move to the Senior/Retired Member category by completing a “
Change In Status Request Form” and returning it to Jeanne Bloesch - Senior Membership Coordinator at:

membership@assh.org, or fax: 847/384-1435 or mail to the ASSH Central Office.
If your request to change to the Senior/Retired Member category is approved you have the option of choosing between:
Senior/Retired Member - Dues Paying Category (RM)
Reduced annual dues of $300.00.
Receive full member benefits, including:
• Journal of Hand Surgery subscription, both print and online
• Inclusion in Find a Hand Surgeon
• ASSH Membership Directory online
• Correspondence News, Online Journal Club
• Assistance with coding questions
• Weekly Member Update
• Annual Meeting attendance requirement waived
• Voting rights
• Reduced prices for ASSH courses, meetings and products
Senior/Retired Member - Non Dues Paying Category (RT) Pay no annual dues.
Receive limited member benefits, including:
• ASSH Membership Directory online
• Access to Members Only online content at
www.assh.org • Weekly Member Update
• Annual Meeting attendance requirement waived• Voting rights
• Reduced prices for ASSH courses, meeting and products
NOTE: If you choose the non-dues paying option, you will not be listed in Find-a-Hand Surgeon. You will no longer receive the Journal of Hand Surgery in print or online.
