Orthopaedic Knowledge Online

Orthopaedic Knowledge Online from the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons

Orthopaedic Knowledge Online (OKO) is a multifaceted educational website developed by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) for orthopaedic surgeons and related medical professionals. Through a special agreement with AAOS, ASSH members have access to the OKO website.

Access to most OKO content is provided without charge to all ASSH members. However, some things that the OKO website offers, specifically the Continuing Medical Education (CME) modules and some documents in the Virtual Bookstore, require payment of additional fees.  This is no different than it is for AAOS members.  In order to pay for access to these features, you must set up an account directly with the AAOS.

Technical Notes

Please note that if you have a personal firewall or "safe-browsing" software set up on your computer, you may need to disable it or change settings in order to access the OKO site.  In addition, some browsers allow you to change settings to block an HTTP-REFERER variable from being set.  This variable must be set for the authentication to work, so if you have problems with the link to OKO, you may have to change this setting.  Finally, the OKO web site uses cookies, so your browser must be configured to accept them.
