The Touching Hands Project is dedicated to expanding our reach right here at home. Our U.S. missions, called "Hand Day", take place at the facilities of hand surgeon members of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. During these one-day missions, the medical staff provides free hand surgery for patients in their community who do not have access to hand care. We hosted our first domestic mission in 2016 at Georgia Hand Shoulder and Elbow in Atlanta. In 2017, THP hosted Hand Day in four different cities: Nashville, Atlanta, San Francisco, and Philadelphia. Help us to spread Hand Day across even more cities in 2018! This webinar will give background about former Hand Days and answer any logistical questions you might have about hosting Hand Day in 2018.

Panelists:

Dr. John Seiler – Georgia Hand, Shoulder & Elbow; Hand Day host 2016 & 2017 and American Foundation for Surgery of the Hand President

Dr. Donald Lee – Vanderbilt University/Vanderbilt Orthopedic Institute; Hand Day host 2017 and American Society for Surgery of the Hand Council Member-At-Large

Dr. Edward Diao - Edward Diao, MD; Hand Day host 2017 and American Foundation for Surgery of the Hand Vice-President

Participants are encouraged to submit any questions you have about Hand Day or The Touching Hands Project by February 5 so that they can be reviewed by the panelists. Submit questions to Julia Epplin-Zapf at [email protected].  During the webinar, there will also be an opportunity to pose live questions to the panel.
