Description:

 

This shoulder surgery course covers the predictable operations one may count on in maximizing good results in your practice.  The background, indications, pertinent anatomy, techniques and outcomes are covered for each topic.  There will be time for the controversial and cutting edge topics in tendon transfers, anatomic shoulder arthroplasty and reverse shoulder arthroplasty with a faculty well-versed in shoulder reconstruction.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of the program, participants will be able to:
  • Improve their patient selection for those shoulder procedures that have a predictably high chance for a favorable outcome.
  • Refine their understanding of the technical aspects of surgery for shoulder instability, rotator cuff injuries, proximal humerus fractures and glenohumeral arthritis.
  • Improve their algorithms for postoperative care following shoulder reconstruction.
  • Improve their sense of the clinical outcomes following shoulder reconstruction.
