Description

There has been an evolution in the treatment of radiocarpal and DRUJ disorders over the past decade.  This has included novel techniques for partial and total fusions as well as a new generation of arthroplasties.  The treatment options for salvage of the painful DRUJ have continued to evolve.  This half day course was designed to cover the gamut of salvage options for the failed wrist from old, time-honored techniques to the latest cutting-edge procedures.  It is intended for both the entry level surgeon as well as the seasoned operator.

Learning Objectives

  • Describe the salvage options for non-reconstructible radiocarpal arthritis.
  • Discuss the various partial and total carpal fusions.
  • Explain the long term outcomes of PRC vs. 4 corner fusions.
  • Identify the options for salvage of the painful DRUJ.
