Description:
This precourse will provide a state of the art update on all aspects of elbow surgery and reconstruction. An international faculty will participate in lectures and case discussions on both open and arthroscopic surgery of the elbow. Emphasis will be placed on presenting new techniques for traumatic injuries and elective reconstruction, arthroplasty and arthroscopy.
Learning Objectives
- Describe surgical approaches to the elbow for trauma and reconstruction.
- Recognize pitfalls of surgical techniques and how to avoid them.
- Compare modern techniques for treatment of fractures of the distal humerus, radial head, coronoid and ulna.
- Evaluate different approaches for elbow arthroplasty.
- Describe treatment options for elbow instability.
- Learn steps for successful elbow arthroscopy and avoid complications.
